On the Job Mentoring and Coaching
Mentoring programs can contribute significantly to the growth and development of
the employees in your organization. Staff members at all levels benefit from
participation in mentoring programs. And mentoring takes learning out of the
classroom through on-the-job reinforcement.
Provided by one of our Training Specialists or Consultants,
this type of development program can range from 1 hour to several days,
depending on the over all requirements. It will be planned and structured with
an on-going process implemented that provides for monitoring improvement of the
employee’s knowledge and skills specific to job responsibilities.
A needs assessment of employee skills will be done and then a detailed
plan of corrective action will be provided. This may range from recommended
course training to individual mentoring sessions to bring the individual up to
speed on the specific areas of concern and the requirements of the position.
In each step the person responsible for the mentoring coaching will
provide a written progress report to the employee and to the business contact.
This will enable both parties to monitor the success of the employee.
