Patrick
James Eckerman
(Saskatchewan)
Patrick has 6 years of Law enforcement
background including working in training and development teaching an average of
five 8 hour classes a week for over 2 years in Toronto Ontario Canada with a
Major Private Security Company.
Patrick has a varied background of instructional experience which allows him to
teach a many diverse programs. His skills with NLP (Neuro-Linguistic
Programming) are evident when he presents for large groups. In addition to this,
Patrick is a Toastmaster which he joined in October 2005 to improve his
communication and leadership skills. In Toastmasters he is an Advanced
Communicator Gold with a record of championship speech competition experience.
Patrick has finished first at Division E level Table topics and placed 3rd at
the District level (all of Alberta and Saskatchewan). Patrick holds several club
officer positions and participates in training public speakers on a regular
basis. Named Toastmaster of the Year for Northern Saskatchewan in Division E,
Patrick brings an enthusiastic approach to all his programs.
Mr. Eckerman was a flight instructor for single engine, glider sailplane and
ultra lights, having spent 4 years with the Prairie West Regional Gliding School
as a Canadian Forces Reserve CIC Officer training Air cadets to fly gliders.
Patrick also held positions as Training Officer for Royal Canadian Air Cadet
Squadrons for 6 years.
As a certified Construction Safety Officer through Alberta and Saskatchewan,
Patrick spent 4 years holding the Company Safety Officer positions.
Patrick also has experience in non-violent Crisis Intervention while working at
a youth care facility.
Patrick is a St John Ambulance First Aid Instructor and has experience through
St John Ambulance Brigade.
Patrick currently works full time at Hitachi Canadian Industries as a Quality
Assurance Technologist in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, and provides seminars for
LSSTG in his time off.
